I will look into this. It would be helpful to get bug reports with logs attached - see https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting. |

Merkal Aubauch, AndromacheDarkstar - do you have Aero enabled? |

AndromacheDarkstar wrote:Yes i have, that being said ive been running up to six clients until this update with no issues whatsoever all running fullscreen and alt tabbing quite happily. Could you try multiple clients under DX9 (change the setting in the launcher)? I'm wondering if DX11 and Aero is somehow heavier than DX9 and Aero. |

Rivr Luzade wrote:This issue is still present. Alt tabbing worked like a charm before Rubicon: you pressed alt tab and had the menu with all your open programs and windows visible to choose from. Now, after Rubicon, the menu with your open programs is gone as soon as you leave the game and you have to press Alt tab repeatedly again to bring it back up and choose.
This must be changed. And changed only in the only way: Back to the pre-Rubicon state. Whatever you did to the game in that regard, it's useless and it doesn't make the game any easier or better playable.
It's already a good thing that the performance was increased recently, but this issue is way worse. Does this also happen if you run with DX9? |

Rivr Luzade wrote:Sorry for the lapse: this was tested and is experienced in the DX11 client. I just switched over to the DX9 version and alt-tabbing works as I was used to it from before: the menu stays after pressing alt-tab and switching between clients is as pleasant as before. Would be good if this was somehow achieved for DX11 as well. Thanks for the info - we'll investigate and see what we can do. This may be out of our control, though - can-Št think of anything we're doing that would cause this to behave differently under DX11 compared to DX9. |

Rivr Luzade wrote:Fair enough.
What I also just noticed is that if I use the launcher to start the clients it works fine, but if I use the eveexe.exe from the bin folder, it still messes up the alt tabbing. I have another look shortly at it. Launching the executable directly defaults to DX11 - it relies on the launcher passing in command line flags. If you need to bypass the launcher and want to run in DX9, add /triPlatform=dx9 /noconsole to the command line. |

I see this happen if I have lots of programs open - if I only have a few programs open, the menu behaves as expected. I'll do a bit more testing, but I'm afraid this is more an issue with Windows and/or DirectX than anything in EVE. |

Czeris wrote: And yet, everything behaved fine until the last Eve patch, and all of my other programs behave perfectly. It is only the Eve client that causes these problems.
Also when you run under DX9? Does the alt-tab menu behave correctly in other programs that run fullscreen in DX11? |
